Leah Kiguatha Muteru

Leah is an alumna of the Georgetown University Leadership and Advocacy for Women in Africa (LAWA) Fellowship Program and an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over twenty years’ experience and expertise in domestic and international aspects of child and family law. She is also experienced in and enjoys real estate and conveyancing law and is a trained mediator.
She is a member of the Milimani High Court Family Division Bar Bench Committee, the Milimani Chief Magistrates’ Family Court Bar Bench Committee and the Milimani Children’s Court Bar Bench Committee.
Leah is currently the Lead Counsel at Kiguatha & Company Advocates, a Nairobi Law Firm specializing in child and family law and real estate law and an adjunct Lecturer at the Kenya School of Law.
In addition, Leah is an Elder at the Nairobi Chapel serves on the Board of Kakenya’s Dream, an organization running two schools for girls in Narok County who are at risk of FGM, early marriage and child pregnancy. She is a member of the Board of FIDA – Kenya and in March 2024 was recognized by the Law Society of Kenya Nairobi Branch as one of its top 50 Women Lawyers.
